There are a number of ways that End of Life Doulas can support people at all stages of life. Please have a look below to see how I may be able to help you.

Advance Care Planning
Advance Care Planning is something that can be thought about and put in place at any time. Recording what you would want to happen to you in the event that you are no longer able to make or communicate decisions to your loved ones and those caring for you. Having an Advance Care Plan in place can give you the peace of mind to live your life as fully as possible. I can assist with recording your Statement of Wishes and Preferences as well as an Advance Decision to Refuse Treatment (ADRT)

Facilitated Conversations
Discussing end of life with those you love can be a difficult and challenging thought. Where do you start? I can come and be present as an informed facilitator to help you and your family to discuss what you hope for at the end of your life and answer any questions you may have. Alternatively you may want to discuss your own end of life with an impartial companion. A Doula is an unbiassed, non-medical friend with the sole aim of supporting you as you consider or approach the end of your life.

Funeral Planning
Do you want to plan your own funeral so you know you will get the send off you would like? I can help you put together your own funeral plan and liaise with your chosen funeral director on your behalf. I am not affiliated with any one funeral director so can help you find the service that is right for you.

Respite Sitting
I am able to offer a limited amount of respite sitting at weekends to people within 5 miles of Chichester. This might give your loved ones a few hours to get some rest or to attend an event in the knowledge that you are safe and have company. This does not replace your care package if you require personal care.

Pet end of life support
Saying goodbye to our pets at the end of their lives is one of the hardest things we ever have to do, particularly as we have to make this decision in most cases. I offer support and guidance to pet owners faced with this decision both before and after the passing of the pet.
